About

Updated: 27 July 2010 |

This is the course blog for LIS 9763: Social Software and Libraries, a graduate course offered during the Fall 2010 term through the Faculty of Information and Media Studies at the University of Western Ontario. The course is taught through distance education and uses a grab-bag of social tools (like blogs and RSS) as its mode of delivery and communication. This site is the course hub and it runs on WordPress.

My name is Amanda Etches-Johnson and I am the course instructor. I am also the Head, Discovery & Access at the University of Guelph Library, and I frequently speak and publish on social media, emerging technologies, and web design. My regular blogging venue is blogwithoutalibrary.net.
